VTI uses sputtering (physical deposition process) as the cornerstone of our cutting tool and punch and die tooling coating services. This high-energy sputtering enables VTI to produce TIN, TICN, TIALN and TiB2 with remarkable consistency.
All of VTI's cutting tool coatings offer a low coefficient of friction, and therefore, improving the durability of the tools. VTI's uniform coating over the entire surface of the tool has shown benefits for cutting tools such as:
